Welcome to Roastrip. By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the app.
⚠️ 1. Purpose of the App: Pure Entertainment
Roastrip is a satirical party game designed exclusively for entertainment among groups of consenting friends. The goal of the game is irony and banter (so-called "roasting"). By using Roastrip, you accept the risk of receiving sarcastic and provocative comments, votes, and verdicts based on interactions with your friends.
🚫 2. Code of Conduct and Zero Tolerance (Cyberbullying)
We want the game to stay fun and safe. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward abusive behavior. It is strictly forbidden to use the app to:
- Incite hatred, violence, or discrimination.
- Engage in cyberbullying, harassment, defamation, or threats toward other users or people outside the game.
- Share unlawful or explicit material, or material that violates others' privacy.
Roastrip reserves the unquestionable right to remove content and to suspend or permanently ban the accounts of users who violate these rules.
🤖 3. Artificial Intelligence and Limitation of Liability
The "Final Verdict" (Wrapped) generated at the end of the vacation is produced in a fully automated way by a third-party Artificial Intelligence (Google Gemini), based on the text entered by users.
- No prior review: Roastrip's developers do not supervise, filter, or approve the AI-generated text in advance.
- Unpredictability: The AI may generate content that is inaccurate, unexpected, or considered offensive (so-called "hallucinations").
- Disclaimer: Roastrip's developers are in no way liable for any moral, psychological, or reputational damage, or disputes between friends, arising from use of the app, user comments, or AI-generated text.
🛡️ 4. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Moderation
To keep the environment safe and comply with digital store guidelines, Roastrip provides users with in-app moderation tools.
- Every user can report inappropriate content or other users to our moderators.
- Every user can block/hide other users, preventing their messages and presence from being shown within rooms.
Reports are handled by our team, who will take the necessary action (up to and including account removal) within 24 hours.
📝 5. Ownership of Content
The content (text and votes) you enter into the app remains your property. However, by using Roastrip, you grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process and transmit that data to artificial intelligence APIs, solely to enable the game to function and to generate the final "Wrapped".
⚖️ 6. Intellectual Property
The "Roastrip" trademark, the logo, the interface design, the source code, and the game logic are the exclusive property of the developers. Copying, reproduction, or reverse engineering without explicit authorization is prohibited.
💳 7. In-App Purchases and the Roastrip PRO Subscription
Roastrip offers an optional subscription, Roastrip PRO, which unlocks additional features beyond the free version: advanced statistical insights such as your Nemesis, who loves you the most, your historical voting trends, vacations won, and awards collected. The free version of Roastrip remains fully usable to create rooms, vote, and generate the Wrapped, with no need to subscribe.
Roastrip PRO is an auto-renewable subscription, available in monthly or annual versions. The exact price, duration, and any free trial period are always shown in-app before you confirm the purchase, and may vary over time or by country: what is shown on the purchase confirmation screen is what applies.
Auto-renewal disclosure:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or annual), unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The renewal amount is charged to your account within the 24 hours preceding the end of the current period, at the same price as the previous period (unless a price change has been communicated in advance in accordance with Apple/Google policies).
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of it is forfeited when you purchase the paid subscription.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time from your account settings: on iOS go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions; on Android open Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions.
All payments are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play: Roastrip never receives, processes, or stores any of your payment card data. Refunds, too, are the exclusive responsibility of Apple or Google under their respective policies: Roastrip cannot issue refunds directly, and you should contact Apple or Google support for any related request.
If you have already purchased Roastrip PRO and change device or reinstall the app, you can recover your subscription at any time via the "Restore Purchases" button on the Statistics screen, linked to your original Apple/Google account.
Right of withdrawal:
Under applicable Italian consumer law (Legislative Decree 206/2005, Consumer Code, Article 59, paragraph 1, letter o), the standard 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases does not apply to the supply of digital content such as Roastrip PRO, since access to PRO features is granted immediately after the purchase is confirmed, with your express consent and your acknowledgment that you are giving up the right of withdrawal. By proceeding with the purchase, you acknowledge and agree that performance begins immediately and that you therefore lose the right of withdrawal as soon as the subscription is activated.
